The first listed date is 2027-01-01 and the last is 2027-09-02. 1 listed dates fall on Saturday or Sunday. This comparison includes only the entries currently stored for each year; differences can reflect coverage as well as the position of holidays. When months tie, the earliest tied month is shown. Check observed dates, make-up workdays and the receiving organization’s own schedule before turning these figures into deadlines.
Planning Vietnam visits, orders and approvals around holidays
Distinguish public employee breaks from company closures
Vietnam holiday planning requires more than identifying the day of Tet or National Day. A published consecutive break for public employees has a stated scope, while a manufacturer, hotel or service provider has its own operating arrangements. Read the source and the notes in the schedule together. Do not assume that a break shown for one group establishes exactly when every private business will stop work or reopen.
For a practical plan, maintain three separate entries: the public date, the partner’s confirmed closure and the deadline for your transaction. If a supplier reports a shutdown that differs from the public employee break, preserve its explanation with the order. This lets a colleague understand why a dispatch date was chosen. It also avoids using a government source to support a claim that only the individual company can actually confirm.
Prepare Tet orders through the whole chain
For a Tet-sensitive order, identify materials, production, inspection, packing, collection and receipt as separate steps. Ask the supplier which steps are already complete and which require action from you. Design approval or a missing shipping instruction can be more important than the holiday date itself. Put the last acceptable decision date beside each outstanding item, with a named person responsible for replying before that deadline.
Consider a hypothetical order of branded bags. Production may be scheduled before the break, but the buyer has not approved a revised label and the carrier has not confirmed collection. The order cannot safely be treated as “ready to ship.” Ask for evidence of the current stage and agree whether the label can be approved in time. If it cannot, revise the plan with the supplier and customer rather than replacing an unconfirmed date with a hopeful estimate.
Ask precise questions about the return to work
A message saying the supplier reopens after Tet can refer to its office, factory, warehouse or shipping desk. Request the first date each team needed for your order will be available. Ask when your order can enter the queue and which remaining task must happen first. Keep that response tied to the actual purchase order. A general announcement may be useful background but is not an order-specific commitment.
Avoid assigning every supplier a fixed recovery delay. A realistic estimate depends on the work still required, the materials on hand and the capacity the supplier can confirm. If the next production slot remains uncertain, ask when the supplier will be able to confirm it. Tell your customer which milestone is confirmed and which is not. That communication is more useful than a precise date built from assumptions about how all factories operate.
Treat National Day adjustments as a separate check
National Day planning should be reviewed independently of Tet. Where an official arrangement includes an exchanged working day, record both the holiday interval and the make-up day. A team using a Monday-to-Friday project calendar can otherwise calculate the wrong number of available days. Check which arrangement applies to the organization involved and do not assume a Saturday adjustment means every private supplier will be operating normally.
For a meeting or approval involving another country, check both sides’ availability. Your Vietnamese contact may be working on an adjusted date while your own approver is away for a normal weekend. Arrange the approval earlier or agree a delegate rather than letting the task wait invisibly. A shared schedule should identify who is reachable, how urgent questions will be handled and when a response can reasonably be expected.
Make a travel plan from actual operating information
For travel, confirm the parts of the trip that would be hard to replace: transport, accommodation, a tour departure or an essential appointment. Ask the provider about the specific date and service rather than whether it is generally open during a festival. Save the confirmation and cancellation terms. HolidayDates does not supply live seat availability, fare forecasts or a guarantee that a named attraction will follow its ordinary timetable.
Build a daily itinerary that can survive one changed opening time. Keep alternative activities within a manageable area, check how you will return to your accommodation and avoid placing a critical appointment immediately after an uncertain transfer. If the trip involves collecting a document or meeting a supplier, confirm the responsible person’s attendance separately. Tourism services and administrative work answer different operational questions even when they fall on the same date.
Use future dates with a visible confidence label
For a future year, reference festival dates and a verified full-year closure notice are different levels of information. If this page states that the full arrangements have not been verified here, do not interpret the displayed dates as a complete government or employer break. An absent make-up date is not evidence that no workday exchange will be announced. Follow the official source and request the partner’s own notice before fixing important commitments.
A useful provisional plan lists the decisions that remain open and the source that will resolve each one. Review it when a new official announcement or partner schedule arrives. Update your shared tracker and imported holiday calendar together, retaining the old confirmation if it explains an earlier customer promise. The dedicated Tet supplier checklist linked below provides a ready-to-use set of questions, but its answers must come from the businesses handling your particular order.
